PCF Adds Pennsylvania and New Jersey Distribution Clients
Towson, MD USA - January 26, 2009 - Publishers Circulation Fulfillment, Inc. (PCF) announced today it is absorbing home delivery responsibilities for three newspapers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, in the January and February time frame.
Effective January 26, The Gettysburg Times, the 106 year-old daily serving Gettysburg, PA, will turn over distribution responsibilities for approximately 7,000 home delivery customers to PCF. Quoted in a recent Gettysburg Times article about this development, Tom Ford, Times’ Director of Operations, said “…the time has come to leave the delivery to the professionals.” The Times will leverage PCF’s economies of scale and distribution logistical services expertise to improve the newspaper’s home delivery service and lower its distribution cost profile. The Gettysburg Times is owned by the Times and News Publishing Company.
PCF has also assumed home delivery responsibilities for The Courier News, Bridgewater, NJ and will add The Home News Tribune, East Brunswick, NJ, in a February time frame. Both newspapers are Gannett publications. These two new distribution partnerships bring to five the number of Gannett publications PCF will serve in a home delivery capacity, including USA TODAY, The Journal News, Westchester, NY and The Daily Record, Parsippany, NJ.
