The Taunton Daily Gazette Chooses PCF for Home Delivery
Towson, MD USA - October 7, 2008 Publishers Circulation Fulfillment, Inc. (PCF) announced today its selection as the sole newspaper home delivery partner of The Taunton Daily Gazette of Taunton, MA, a GateHouse Media property. This exclusive arrangement is slated to begin on October 13, 2008, and marks the second GateHouse publication, after the MetroWest Daily News in Framingham, to choose PCF as its distribution partner.
"PCF’s home delivery operations remain very effective in New England,” said Jim O’Rourke, Publisher of The Taunton Daily Gazette. “Their ability to expand the home delivery reach of our sister publication, The MetroWest Daily News, coupled with the expense savings they delivered over the past year, made PCF a really good choice for us in Taunton.”
The Taunton Daily Gazette will turn over distribution responsibilities for approximately 5,000 home delivery customers, leveraging PCF’s economies of scale, and logistics and routing expertise to improve the newspaper’s home delivery service and lower its distribution cost profile.
